Asus TUF Gaming X570 plus drivers

In the line of Asus motherboards based on the X570 chipset the TUF series belongs to the budget options. This is reflected in the capacity of the expansion slots, lack of SLI support and, perhaps, everything. TUF Gaming X570-PLUS (Wi-Fi), like the older series, has a wireless module, high-quality CPU power system, radiator on the M.2 slot.

The price of this solution is lower than that of the ROG line, but the functionality remains at a level sufficient for assembling a high-performance system based on AMD Ryzen 3000 series processors. A well-balanced mid-range model.

Packing and package

The motherboard comes in a black cardboard box with colored printing without the usual military style design of TUF line.

The motherboard itself, the model and “TUF Gaming” badge are on the front side, and there are icons on the bottom side that tell you what technology it supports.

Pay attention to the Wi-Fi prefix in the name, there is an identical model without wireless module.

On the back, there is a schematic of the board with a description of its components, as well as a listing of I/O ports on the interface. Key features of the board are listed: Aura sync, TUF Gaming Alliance, PCI Express 4.0, and Gaming Network Solution.

The basis of the motherboard is a six-layer black textolite with gray patterns stylized as digital camouflage. There is no “armor” typical for TUF series.

On the front side of the board is a plastic cover over the interface with the logo, applied in silver paint, without backlighting. The same logo is on the cover of the audio chip.

Another plastic cover is located over the chipset radiator, which is cooled by a turbine type fan. There are two metal radiators on the CPU power chain and one above the lower M.2 slot.

The backlighting of the board is more than modest – only a small strip of LEDs along the lower right edge.

On the back side there are no patterns, from the additional elements we can see LEDs of backlighting on the lower left edge.

The interface panel is not covered with a plug. There are seven USB ports of the third version on the panel, one of them is Type-C. There are two video outputs: HDMI and DisplayPort in case there are processors with integrated graphics core. One network port and two threaded sockets for Wi-Fi antenna connection. For audio output, there are five analog ports and one optical port. Additionally, we see a combined PS/2 port, which is not typical for modern boards.

Power is supplied via the main 24 pins connector and an additional 8 pins and 4 pins of the processor.

The processor is powered by a 14 phase system, two of which are dedicated to the embedded graphics. The power is controlled by a six-channel DIGI+ VRM EPU ASP1106GGQW PWM controller, there are no doublers, the drivers are integrated into the SiC639 assemblies. The TPU chip responsible for automatic overclocking is not on the board, although it was previously used in this series.

There are four PCI-e slots for installing expansion cards. Two slots PCI-e 4.0 ×16, the upper reinforced, the lower is limited to speed ×4 when installing two graphics cards.

The motherboard supports the creation of a gaming bundle of two AMD graphics cards, but given the limitations of the second port is not relevant.

The lower left corner of the board is isolated for the sound path. For sound is responsible Realtek S1200A modern codec, it is hidden behind the casing with TUF logo. The sound is improved by special Japanese capacitors.
