The computing system of the laptop is built using a second-generation processor of Intel Core i7 family. The processor is based on a new microarchitecture Sandy Bridge, which contains a number of advantages, improving performance and flexibility of the system, compared to the first generation.

The second generation Sandy Bridge processors have all 4 physical CPU cores, as well as an integrated graphics gas pedal, cache and system logic, assembled on a single chip with the 32nm process technology. As a result, processor performance increased, while heat dissipation and power consumption decreased.

New Intel HD Graphics 3000 core achieves performance of entry-level discrete graphics cards, bringing a wide range of multimedia and gaming features to the processor. Full HD video decoding with picture-in-picture feature, 3D graphics applications and gaming in some 3D games can now be done without the need for a discrete graphics card, which saves battery power.

An important new feature is the new 256-bit Advanced Vector Extensions (Intel AVX) instruction set, which is actually an extension of the 128-bit SSE instruction set.

The notebook graphics subsystem is represented by the Intel HD Graphics 3000 graphics gas pedal integrated into the processor and the nVidia GeForce GT 540M discrete graphics card. It has a very high performance margin and handles virtually all existing advanced graphics technologies.

The notebook system contains 4 slots for RAM. The memory interface is the most perfect – DDR3, the frequency – the maximum: 1333 MHz. There is an opportunity to upgrade. The hard drive from Seagate has a capacity of 500 GB, features the maximum known spindle speed – 7200 rpm.
